Hillary and Bill's Excellent Adventures

"I never expected that anywhere, someone would make such a big statue of me," - Bill Clinton
“I will admit that clearly there is a lot of misperception, and perception is reality, so therefore it is up to us to try to set it straight,” - Hillary Clinton

frenemies...
I'm beginning to think that Israel and Iran are actually soulmates, they both have mastered the art of dithering, coming up with endless excuses why they cannot continue negotiations. We'll still be arguing Middle Eastern peace agreements well into the next century, and still trying to get Iran to the table for nuclear negotiations when they start bombing everyone who ever done them wrong...
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton warned Iran that "we're not going to wait forever" for Iran to accept the UN-backed nuclear deal.
"...The Iranian nation is standing powerfully and they are like a mosquito," - Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

I can hardly wait until we leave Iraq so that they can really start killing each other off without restraint. Almost makes you wish for a secular strongman to seize power, if you can dig another one out of their hole. Let's ask the Kurds, maybe they gave us one of Saddam's clones and kept the real one to toy with among  themselves... do you think they will actually have another election or go straight to anointing the current strongman as a dictator, and we're back where we started... Of course, Iran is just waiting for all of the explosives they are sending to Iraq to create such chaos that everyone will be glad when the friendly neighbor comes in to take over and restore peace. love, and tranquility. Goal achieved without firing a shot. Maybe Mr Chalabi will get his great reward and get to rule the newly annexed state, thanks to the Great Satan and those chump neocons...

Its rather ironic that the two countries that are arresting al Qaeda agents are Saudi Arabia and the United States. Recently, an arms cache was found near Riyadh: "Saudi officials say they have found a large arms cache near Riyadh, linking it to a dismantled al-Qaeda cell. They say nearly 300 assault rifles and some 41,000 rounds of ammunition were found near the capital.
The weapons are linked to 44 suspected al-Qaeda militants whose arrests were announced in August."

The US has been arresting al Qaeda suspects right and left lately, and when they can't arrest them in some kind of sting operation, they kill them. No need for fruitless questioning that way, too bad it also fuels the paranoid fantasies of Muslim Americans, who came here to leave a repressive way of living... The art of politics is the attempt of using smoke and mirrors. It all reminds me of the famous opening to the Rocky and Bullwinkle show, with the FBI saying: "Watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat..."

Bill 1, Hillary 0...
Hillary Clinton had a miserable tour last week. Instead of the sisterly solidarity she thought she'd find with professional women in Pakistan, she was forced to give non-answers to the hard questions they asked. Let's just say she didn't make any new friends, and only solidified people's opinions of American hegemony. Before that she pissed off the Russians, and this weekend she has been blown off by the Palestinians and Israelis. She was real honest in her opinions, and we'll see how well she is received next time around.
"Calling for a resumption of negotiations despite continued settlement construction doesn't help because we have tried this way many times. Negotiations are about ending the occupation and settlement expansion is about entrenching the occupation."  -  Ghassan Khalib"

To add insult to injury, her husband has stolen the goodwill spotlight again: "Thousands of ethnic Albanians braved low temperatures and a cold wind in Kosovo's capital Pristina to welcome former President Bill Clinton on Sunday as he attended the unveiling of an 11-foot (3.5-meter) statue of himself on a key boulevard that also bears his name.
Clinton is celebrated as a hero by Kosovo's ethnic Albanian majority for launching NATO's bombing campaign against Yugoslavia in 1999 that stopped the brutal Serb forces' crackdown on independence-seeking ethnic Albanians." Wow, just imagine the unwary vacationers strolling through Kosovo and encountering this statue as they join hands while sauntering down Bill Clinton Boulevard... Take that, Barack and George W...
